Telesales Executive

MEM Bedford is recruiting a Telesales Executive to join our team(s) based in Bedford, Bedfordshire.

The client offers 23 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays ( accrual to be saved for Christmas Shut Down ) and a generous £20 per month towards a valid Gym Membership.

The main role of the Telesales Executives will be to support the external Area Sales Executive and to reach set targets for the area, both sales value and margin.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Pro-active contact with customers on a regular basis to increase spend and margin and build strong customer relationships.
  • Negotiating prices on a by order basis or ongoing business, looking to achieve maximum profit margins for the company. Using various support tools to assist in targeting customers in product ranges not being purchased.
  • Completing quotations and processing orders accurately and timely to meet daily cut-off for next day delivery.
  • Liaising with the warehouse for priority orders.
  • Keep correct and accurate customer card information with all contacts and details.
  • Follow up Area Sales Executive visits and quotations.
  • Be aware of competitor activity and feed this through to the Area Sales Executive to create new price lists or promotions to compete.
  • Passing emailed or faxed order to your Sales Admin support to enter these orders
  • Build a good working relationship with your Sales Admin to assist in clearing your time to make outbound calls.
  • Enter verbal order yourself, upsell and sell promotions to maximise the order value
  • Include cold calls in your daily/weekly call sheets.
  • High attention to detail when pricing and creating price lists.
  • Data entry of orders being both accurate and speedy.
  • Work to meeting the cut-off time for the warehouse to deliver next day.
  • Work through contacting all customers between yourself and your Area Sales Executive, ensuring customer card record is up to date with all correct information.
