MEM Recruitment is your local recruitment agency offering temporary and permanent staffing solutions for the Industrial, Commercial, and Driving sectors.

Established in 1994 and with branches in Bedford, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Wellingborough, we have quickly grown to be a significant and highly respected operator in the recruitment industry.

Rooted in experience, driven by people

For over three decades, MEM Recruitment was shaped by the leadership of its founder-owners, Gary Matthews and Ian McLaven. Upon their well-earned retirement in 2024, the business entered a new chapter under the stewardship of Daniel McLaven and an ambitious leadership team: Rebecca Sanders, Daniel Muncey, and Monika Kaleta.

This new generation brings with them not only a deep respect for the company’s legacy, but a renewed vision for the future — one that continues to prioritise people, relationships, and meaningful work.

Their passion for recruitment runs deep, cascading through the business and inspiring a committed team of experienced managers, consultants, and support staff who embody MEM’s values every day.

Today, MEM Recruitment is powered by over 25 permanent staff members — including its owner-director, senior leadership, recruitment specialists, and administrators — who collectively manage and support a temporary workforce of over 600 people.

Though our reach now spans a growing number of national clients, our strength remains in our roots. As a business born from the communities we serve, we offer something larger firms often cannot: authentic local insight, longstanding relationships, and a human approach that clients trust and value.
