MEM Recruitment Northampton is currently recruiting an Operative – Metal Prep to work AM Shifts to join our team(s) based in Far Cotton, Northampton, NN4.
Shift Patterns:
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00 am to 2:00 pm
Rate of Pay:
- £10.50, Per Hour
- Overtime is paid at £15.75, Per Hour
- £250 bonus after a full month without any absences
- Other bonuses are paid after 3 and 6-months at £125
- After 12 months, £150
- Attendance and Performance bonuses, £650

Responsible for/Duties (full training will be given):
- Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is to cut and drill components with regard to Company procedures and specifications in accordance with Company standards, specifically;
- Adherence to H&S policy
- Checking the quality of parts before and after the process
- Accuracy in measuring parts after cutting and drilling
- Checking all components against drawings and the overall appearance of goods
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- To fully implement the concept of lean and 5S manufacturing
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- An organised and self-motivated team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to follow processes, especially health and safety/manual handling
- Willingness to work flexibly and multi-skill when required
- Practical, hands-on person
- Manufacturing background desirable but not essential
