MEM Recruitment Northampton is currently recruiting a Punch and Fold Operative within Sheet Metal Department to join our team(s) based in Far Cotton, Northampton, NN4.
Shift Patterns:
- Monday to Friday
- 14:00 pm to 22:00 pm
- The shift pattern is currently 14.15 am to 22.15 pm to allow for social distancing
Rate of Pay:
- £11.50, Per Hour
- Overtime is paid at £15.75, Per Hour
- £250 bonus after a full month without any absences
- Other bonuses are paid after 3 and 6-months at £125
- After 12-months, £150
- Attendance and Performance bonuses, £650

Responsible for/Duties (full training will be given):
- Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is to punch and fold products using CNC punch presses and folding machines, with regard to Company procedures and specifications in accordance with Company standards, specifically;
- Manually loading parts to machinery (using lifting/magnetic/suction equipment where necessary)
- Breaking out punched parts of steel sheet using appropriate equipment
- Ensuring efficiency when utilising machines in the section
- Checking the quality of parts before/after the process – fully implement the concept of self-inspection at all stages of the process
- Palletising/moving product using pump/stacker trucks
- PPE supplied; Safety glasses, ear defenders, gloves, overalls, safety boots
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read drawings – Work to tight deadlines
- Willingness to work flexibly – good communication skills
- Practical, hands-on person – Manufacturing background desirable but not essential
