MEM Bedford is recruiting a Sales Manager to join our team(s) based in Bedford, Bedfordshire.

MEM Recruitment are working with our client based in Bedford. Our client is a worldwide leading fashion distributor who pride themselves on their innovation in sustainability. They are a forward-thinking company who can offer progression and development with their in-house training.

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base through effective sales strategies and relationship-building with clients. Your role will involve leading a team of 6 (Account Managers and lead generation sales representatives). Developing and executing sales plans, and collaborating with marketing teams to meet sales targets. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and results-driven individual selling B2B and direct to consumer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and customer acquisition goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize customer value.
  • Identify target markets and potential new customers.
  • Lead and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to help the sales team excel.
  • Track and analyse sales performance data, providing regular reports to management on key performance metrics and sales trends.
  • Utilize data insights to optimize sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns and product launches.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
  • Leverage market knowledge to position the product range competitively and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients to secure deals and partnerships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role, preferably in the Fashion or Sustainability field.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide sales representatives to achieve targets.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and meeting sales goals.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
  • A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering value to clients.

Salary –£50k - £55k

OTE - £75k+

Monday - Friday 9am-6pm
to £55,000
