We combined our 5th and 6th Acts of Kindness in to one!
We first visited the wonderful Billy at Sweet-Futures-Ltd and purchased some of his bespoke sweet pouches! 🍬🍭
Sweet Futures is currently supporting the Down’s Syndrome Association, and Billy, who has Down’s Syndrome himself, created the perfect tasty sweet pouch to help raise awareness and much-needed funds.
The initial campaign in 2023 raised over £1000 and was picked up by the BBC! We thank and praise all at Sweet Futures and the association for their hard work and tireless efforts.
Our staff even picked up a bag of treats for themselves, so we can personally vouch for the great taste and value the shop offers! 😋
We then stopped off to pick up some Easter Eggs and activities before heading to our next destination… 👀
MEM Staff were welcomed by one of the wonderful ward clerks 👩🏻⚕️ at Skylark Ward Kettering – the Children’s 👶🏼👦🏻👧🏾 ward seemed the perfect place to deliver Billy’s sweet pouches and some Easter Treats!
It provides modern, comfortable facilities for children and young people their parents and carers. The ward was designed with the help of patients and their families to provide the upmost care and ease at what can be a very worrying time.
We were delighted to donate some sweets and chocolates to the children and their families to hope to bring a smile over the Easter break!
We also thanked and praised all of the hospital staff for their amazing work and diligent care. 👏🏻
What a wonderful way to spend a day giving back.
